REBTECH Recognizes Texas Department of Public Safety During ALEA Conference  

August 5, 2008 –Bedford, TX –Texas based REB Technologies (REBTECH) recently hosted Texas Department of Public Safety Chief Pilot, Jack Reichert, while at the ALEA Conference and Expo in Houston, Texas to commemorate the delivery of the first of six new helicopters for the state.  Texas DPS will receive five new AS350B2 helicopters and one new EC145 prior to year end, all with REBTECH NVG modifications.  Speaking to those in attendance at the REBTECH booth, company President, Richard Borkowski, commented, “REBTECH is proud to have been chosen to provide the latest generation night vision technology in these six new helicopters for the Texas Department of Public Safety.” 

Borkowski presented Jack Reichert with a large Bowie knife plaque in appreciation for the confidence placed in REBTECH.  “Thank you for selecting REBTECH, the cutting edge of NVG lighting, said Borkowski.  Texans recall the spirit of Jim Bowie and his dedication to the citizens of our great state and it is also symbolic of your dedication to protect and serve the citizens of Texas.”    

The aircraft currently in work for Texas DPS will be the most comprehensively equipped light single engine law enforcement helicopters in North America.  REBTECH provided the modification for all aspects of the NVG capabilities and installed the equipment in cooperation with the primary completion contractor, Metro Aviation, Inc., located in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Speaking on behalf of Metro, Director of Sales, Jim Kettles commented, “Metro has enjoyed the partnership and professionalism of Richard and his company and we look forward to completing the remaining five aircraft for the state of Texas and working on other projects together as well.” 

The Texas Department of Public Safety, Aviation Section will also add its first EC145 twin engine helicopter complete with external hoist capability as an added dimension to the department’s extensive capabilities.     

When asked about the process to choose an NVG modification provider, Chief Pilot, Jack Reichert stated, “We did extensive research prior to making our decision and found that REB Technologies provided us with the best equipment, support and service for our flight crews to operate with the highest level of safety and mission reliability.”
