REBTECH Awarded C-130 Rockwell Collins Contract

March 13, 2008- Bedford, TX – REB Technologies (REBTECH) has been awarded six night vision compatible lighting equipment installations on the C-130 aircraft for an international customer of Rockwell Collins of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  The contract award has specific requirements to complement the Rockwell Collins’ Flight 2™ Total Cockpit Layout concept while still enhancing and modifying the flight deck equipment displays, panels, switches and various instruments.  The initial installation was successfully completed last week in Takhi, Thailand by Texas based, REBTECH personnel. Five additional C130’s will also receive modifications and are expected to be completed by JUL 2008.

REBTECH continues to expand its long standing military market with an increasing civil aviation presence.  Currently the company is performing night vision cockpit and cabin modifications for air medical and airborne law enforcement customers.  Richard M. Borkowski, REBTECH’s President stated, “Over the past several years, we have made a conscious effort to increase our civil market share of night vision cockpit lighting equipment, while continuing to maintain our well established reputation with the military.  Having a good combination of both civil and military business in our portfolio helps us continue to refine and develop cutting edge technology while implementing new technologies and methods of night vision advancements to ensure our lighting modifications and systems exceed our customer’s night flying mission requirements.” As a result, REBTECH’s business model is now 50% military and 50% civilian law enforcement and AMS.

REBTECH has had previous experience working on the C-130 which included modifying the U.S. Marine Corps fuel tankers deployed to the Middle East.  Other military lighting programs completed by REBTECH include modifying cockpit lighting in the B-1 Bomber and modifying and installing the flight deck and visible/covert cargo bay illumination on the C-5 aircraft.  REBTECH has modified cockpits and isolated instruments and displays for various other U.S.A.F. aircraft.
