REBTECH Awarded Additional Night Vision Conversion for Air Evac Fleet

26 May, 2009 – Bedford, Texas – compatibility, REBTECH has been chosen to modify an additional 32 aircraft for air medical transportation service provider, Air Evac EMS, Inc. The fleet will undergo the installations both at the Air Evac main facility in West Plains, Missouri and field locations throughout the United States. All aircraft will have the latest generation night vision compatible cockpit and cabin modifications completed prior to year end. Aircraft instrumentation, avionics and other mission related equipment will be installed by REBTECH and Air Evac personnel.

Richard Borkowski, REBTECH company president commented, “Air Evac has made a strong strategic decision and a significant safety commitment by converting their air medical helicopter fleet to night vision compatibility. We appreciate the ongoing confidence that the Air Evac Lifeteam has shown in our abilities to provide the best night vision equipment and services available. We are also in the process of developing a rotary logistic system with Air Evac that will almost eliminate any AOG time caused by instrument or lighting issues.”

REBTECH will adhere to a very aggressive schedule for installations that will mitigate downtime for the Air Evac air medical operating fleet across the country. REBTECH also continues to expand their capacity and capability as the result of increasing opportunities for military, Paramilitary and civil flight operations interested in safety and operational improvements with the addition of night vision capabilities.

REBTECH, a division of REB Technologies was established in 1996 and is a global leader providing advanced military and civil night vision aircraft lighting systems. Based in Bedford, Texas, the company has extensive experience developing night vision lighting for cockpit, cabin and crew stations as well as night vision systems for external airframe applications. REB Technologies has several FAA approved supplemental type certificates (STC) and has performed lighting modifications and installations for military and civil customers around the globe. REBTECH is a distributor for the NIVISYS NVAG-6 night vision goggle and is the only FAA TSO night vision device available.
