REBTECH Names Richard M. Borkowski President & COO

September 4, 2007 – Bedford, TX – REB Technologies, Inc. (REBTECH) of Bedford, Texas has named Richard M. Borkowski President and Chief Operations Officer. 

REBTECH, established in August of 1996 is a premier supplier of Night Vision Goggle lighting systems for the U. S. Military, law enforcement agencies and EMS operators.  Richard, who previously served as Executive Vice President is a Graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in business and emphasis in marketing.  Since joining REBTECH in 2001, Rich has been the driving force in developing and guiding the company’s marketing strategies and sales. His diverse background in both internal and external aircraft lighting, has allowed the company to develop proprietary technical approaches, products and processes that include the SHADOWS™ filter product line, recognized as the NVG filters on the market today. All SHADOWS™ Screens and internal lighting modifications incorporate specialized filter coatings developed by engineering that enhance contrast, true color rendering and the sunlight readability. 

During the past ten years the company has made extensive market penetrations in providing NVG lighting for U.S. military applications including the U.S.A.F.; B-1, C-5, and C-130 along with the U.S. Army’s AH-64. Today, a significant portion of REBTECH’s business comes from providing Supplemental Type Certificates (STC’s) for lighting utilized by law enforcement, medical and rescue and federal and state agencies.  Currently, REBTECH has more than sixteen (16) STC’s from the Federal Aviation Agency and Air Transport Canada.  STC’s on hand include; Bell models 205, 206, 407 and 412, Eurocopter models include BK117, AS350B2 and AS350B3, ­­­­­­­­and the EC 120, EC130.  Additional STC’s are in process for the Schweitzer R-44, Sikorsky S-61 and the Agusta A-109 and Agusta 119.  It should be noted that both Bell Helicopter and Eurocopter have selected SHADOWS™ illumination for their training aircraft.  In addition, Night Flight Concepts a newly established training academy in Florida has also incorporated SHADOWS™ in the Bell Model 206 and Schweitzer R-44 training helicopters.
