REBTECH NVG Lighting Leader Shares News of Most Recent Customer NVG Mods

July 9, 2008– Bedford, TX — Aircraft night vision lighting and modification leader, REB Technologies, Inc. (REBTECH) of Bedford, Texas has announced a contract award to configure six new helicopters destined for duty with the Texas Department of Public Safety (Texas DPS).  The company will modify the five AS350B2 and one EC145 aircraft with the latest generation night vision technology.  All aircraft will enter service this year with the debut of the first AS350B2 AStar at the upcoming Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA) Conference & Exposition in Houston, Texas on July 16-19, 2008.

Speaking from company headquarters in north Texas, REBTECH President Richard Borkowski stated, “This is an extremely important contract award since the agency flying these aircraft is here in our home state.  While we take pride in all the work we do for our customers, this one is particularly noteworthy for us.”  Jack Reichert, Chief Pilot for Texas DPS commented, “We did an extensive analysis of the NVG modification companies in the market and felt that going with REBTECH provided us with the best lighting, service and safety for our missions”.

Aside from the six aircraft in work for Texas DPS, REBTECH is currently performing modifications to aircraft for California Highway Patrol, East Bay Regional Parks Police, The City of Ontario (CA) Police Department, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.  The company also recently delivered two air medical Bell 407 helicopters with REBTECH equipped cockpits to Med-Trans.  “Many of our customers find that acquiring the aircraft green from the manufacturer with completion services performed by a qualified center like Metro Aviation, as is the case with the Texas DPS contract, and then have REBTECH work with the completion center to install and certify the lighting modification results in a more simple and economical process. We allow our customers to specify what makes sense for them both from the mission and economic standpoints, and we offer several lighting solutions and options,” stated Borkowski.

REBTECH can provide either FAA or military specified night vision equipment and modifications. This includes the REBTECH proprietary “Shadows” filtration screens for displays and instrumentation as well as internal modifications to the equipment.  The company has performed extensive conversions to military and civil fixed and rotary wing aircraft performing law enforcement, combat, surveillance, utility, transport, reconnaissance, and air medical missions.

Additionally, REBTECH is now offering a complimentary 180 day inspection for two pair of night vision goggles for each aircraft completed or modified with REBTECH equipment.  The inspection will be performed in association with Night Flight Concepts, a REBTECH partner.  The company can provide inspections on ITT, Northrop Grumman and Nivisys equipment using proven Department of Defense (DOD) maintenance procedures assuring optimal performance.  Flight crews, whether civil or military, using REBTECH equipment are operating the safest and most modern night vision equipped aircraft available and this has always been the primary goal of REBTECH and their employees.

REBTECH will be exhibiting (Booth #401) at the upcoming ALEA 38th Annual Conference & Exposition in Houston, Texas from July 16-19, 2008. Please join REBTECH on Thursday, July 17th at 1:00pm at the ALEA Conference & Expo in Houston for a booth ceremony on the REBTECH booth # 401 to commemorate Texas DPS and the completion of their first of six aircraft under contract and being completed by Metro Aviation Inc.
